Why Us:

Way to Grow Child Care/Learning Center offers a quality childcare program that provides a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to grow and develop.

Established in 2001, Way to Grow has, over the years, become an educational foundation to a great many families within our community.  The Center is owned and operated by the Economic Opportunity Council of Suffolk, Inc., a community action-based organization that promotes a goal of self-sufficiency by broadening the minds of children, revitalizing communities, and assisting families and children in need through the provision of services and to coordinate available federal, state, local, and private resources.

The program is staffed by dedicated, experienced, and qualified caregivers who are committed to supporting each child’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Every classroom has a bi-lingual speaking staff member.

The program offers a variety of activities, including play-based learning experiences that are designed to foster creativity, imagination, and critical thinking skills. The Center is equipped with an indoor and outdoor play area to encourage gross motor skill development.

The Center focuses on a diverse curriculum where children learn at their own pace. The teachers collaborate with our Funshine Express curriculum where they personalize the experience, giving children the opportunity to make learning fun. Children have daily access to hitting all of their milestones as well as their age-appropriate developmental needs from infancy to school age.

The curriculum includes activities and experience in areas such as language, math, science, art, music, and social skills. This learning experience provides children with a fun and engaging learning environment that prepares them for success in school and beyond.

We provide nutritious meals and snacks and encourage physical activity to promote healthy habits.

During the summertime, we offer a travel camp for children first grade through 12 years of age. Supervised by highly-qualified staff, the children travel by bus to visit fun and educational local attractions throughout Suffolk County.

Additionally, our Center values open communication and collaboration with families, with daily updates on their child’s activities and progress.

Overall, our Way to Grow prioritizes the wellbeing and development of each child in our care, so that the child feels heard, supported, and recognized for their own individuality.
