The Economic Opportunity Council of Suffolk, Inc. is the owner/operator of Way To Grow of East Patchogue.

The Economic Opportunity Council of Suffolk, Inc. provides a variety of services to residents of Suffolk County, Long Island, New York by using all available resources. We promote a goal of self-sufficiency by broadening the minds of children, revitalizing communities and assisting families and children in need through coordination of available federal, state, local and private resources.

Center Director

Marissa Dicpinigaitis is a dedicated early childhood educator with over 22 years of experience. She has worked across three different programs, rising through the ranks from camp counselor to program director. Most recently, she served as the director of both a preschool /day care program and a summer camp. Marissa brings a deep passion for early childhood education and a firm belief in the power of learning through play. She champions a hands-on, engaging approach to education, where young children explore and discover foundational concepts in a nurturing environment. Marissa’s goal is to prepare children for success in kindergarten and beyond through intentional, thoughtfully designed experiences led by Way to Grow’s dedicated teaching team.

Sylvia Trent - Assistant DirectorSylvia Trent is a dedicated mother, grandmother, sister, former Way to Grow teacher, and a cherished friend to many. She has been a part of the Way to Grow team since 2004, taking on various roles over the years. Sylvia takes great pride in the work done with both children and families, and she brings a creative spirit to organizing events and exploring new ideas. Her strengths include launching fresh initiatives and using her strong organizational skills. Sylvia deeply values the opportunity to serve Way to Grow families and is committed to continuing to make a positive impact in the future.
